Physical activity has a variety of meanings. It can range from morning stretching to extreme sports. We can divide it into 3 different categories: moderate physical activity, physical fitness activity and extreme physical activity. All of this has a major impact on our mental health and overall health.

Each of them can be very useful to us, depending on what we want to achieve.


The moderate physical activity that we should encounter with simple things that surround us in our daily life, such as: walking, gardening, shopping, cleaning, cycling, dancing ...

These are daily activities that keep us physically active and are important for our health. So you can keep in mind that when you clean your house you work twice on your health, hygiene and physical health.

This has the potential to be raised to a higher level, while the benefits are still very pleasant. Regular walking can be increased if you are going uphill, or if you light gardening as potting soil can be increased by cleaning branches or digging out the back yard.

In terms of nutrition, if we have a good base in our diet, we are good for moderate physical activity. We only have to consider if we raise the level to adjust our food intake appropriately.


When dealing with physical fitness activities, we focus specifically on physical activities with the aim of improving certain skills and our personal health. These can be in a specific sport, such as: fitness, spinning, basketball, aerobics, tennis, soccer ...

At this level we develop our body and improve our physical health, but we also challenge our body to break down barriers. At this point, we cannot ignore that our bodies also need to adjust their diet. We cannot ask our body to meet these challenges without supporting our body with the right nutrients / fuels. Note that there is a direct relationship between calorie intake, physical activity and weight.


When it comes to extreme physical activity, the level is very high. We challenge our body to the maximum of its potential. Most often this is on a professional level, where your physical activity becomes your profession. In these cases, commitment to your body and health must be 100%, with your daily life revolving around your goals. You must also see your diet, mental stability, lifestyle, and sleep with the same professional attention as your physical activity. There the secret lies in total discipline.
